My Impact Shady!

My impact will be shady!

Molded by 15 years in Scouting, my entrepreneurial efforts have provided natural and human-made shelters for my communities. My first startup, Eagles Wings For You, donated over 100 refurbished computers to local homeless shelters and taught hundreds of residents to use them, allowing them to apply for jobs and permanent housing. Then, as finance director and a guide at SCOutfitters, an outdoors organization increasing access to the outdoors to underprivileged and underrepresented groups, I have facilitated getting thousands of people under nature’s canopy each year, providing scholarships to those who need it. With that experience, I am building Lets Bivy, connecting trained USC alumni guides with students that want to get outdoors. To me, the goal is more than just reconnecting individuals with nature. It is about fostering a sustainable, welcoming, niche community – something I already proved possible during my time at USC. I have orchestrated Demo Days, Techstars-sponsored Startup Weekends, and California-wide Startup Career Fairs connecting thousands of student entrepreneurs to over 350 startups.

Ultimately, my experience crafting startups and communities will help me launch a ‘venturing capital’ firm – where my team and I travel and invest in global startups making sustainable and measurable differences in their communities. This dream keeps my impact malleable; problems constantly evolve and so should our methods of solving them. Grand visions are not realized overnight, so I hope my small actions – kindness, emotional availability, work ethic – are ultimately what makes my impact contagious and unique.
